USB-C 3.2 Gen1 Hub – Graphit

So far, I'm impressed. I tested ethernet, HDMI and charging and these all work simultaneously, and I tested the USB-A for time machine backups, and that works as well as would be expected. I'm impressed with this, as it's cheaper than the shady competitors and works exactly like you'd hope. It can get a little warm while in use, so it may not be super power efficient, but I don't how that would compare to it's competitors either.I did try plugging in a USB-C accessory to it's USB-C port and that did not work but the port does work for pass-through charging, so you're not losing a USB-C for charging, but if you're not charging, you may not get that port back.

Works great! Better than expected actually. Using this device fixed a known issue with the LG Ultrafine monitor used with the MacBook Pro where plugging into the monitor causes the laptop to freeze. Since using this adapter absolutely no problems. Also use the SD card slot as an additional 256GB drive to the notebook. Very fast read/write speeds.

The hub does not provide 1 Gbps network speed on the two new laptop PCs, with Type-C USB ports, I have tried it with. Known 1 gig capable LAN connections (confirmed on other computers with two different direct connections) do not achieve 1 Gbps with this adaptor with new laptops: Asus Switch Alpha 12 or HP Spectre X360. I tried updating drivers etc., and the device name states 'gig' in the name, but Windows network manager reports 100 Mbps. I confirmed with some speed tests that it only provides 100 Mbps. I reported all this to the supplier and they eventually replied that I should send it back. No word as to getting a new one or other efforts to resolve the problem. I am very disappointed in their efforts and concern, but glad to have Amazon refund my money.the device seems well laid out. too bad it does not work.

Works great with my MacBook Pro late 2016 with Touchbar. It was amazing after trying so many that had defects of simply didn't work to have a device that worked as advertised without a hitch! I'm using the HDMI, USB-C Power Delivery with Apple Power Supply, USB 3.0 for keyboard and Ethernet. I have not tested the SD Card slot, but I'm guessing it would work great too. I used a USB-C extension cable to give more reach to connect to my MacBook sitting closed in a Arc stand. I have 3 monitors running. One is the HDMI port off this adapter and the other two are USB-C to HDMI cables I purchased through Amazon.

This unit worked for about 2 weeks, and then it stopped passing thru a network/ethernet signal. Manufacturer responded quickly via amazon email support. After asking me to try a few things, they're sending a replacement unit. That's great support.
